On 4 June 2026, 5 St Andrew’s Hill and LCF Law Group co-hosted Energy Investments in Ukraine: Power, Risks and Resolving Disputes at the Central Criminal Court, commonly known as the Old Bailey.
The event formed part of London International Disputes Week 2026, one of the world’s leading forums for international dispute resolution. It brought together lawyers, investors and energy industry professionals to examine the opportunities and considerable risks associated with investment in Ukraine’s energy sector.

The discussion addressed the investment landscape within Ukraine, war related risks, infrastructure disruption, sanctions, martial law restrictions, investment protection and the resolution of international energy disputes through arbitration and the courts.
The Photo Team was commissioned to provide a two person professional media team, with one photographer and one videographer working together to document the event and record the panel presentation.
This was a high profile legal and investment event dealing with an internationally significant and politically sensitive subject.
The visual coverage needed to reflect the authority of the speakers, the seriousness of the discussion and the historic importance of the Old Bailey. At the same time, both team members needed to work discreetly and avoid interfering with the presentation or the experience of those attending.

Alongside the photography, the videographer needed to produce a clear and dependable recording of the presentation. This required careful consideration of camera position, sound, lighting and sightlines within a live event environment.
We deployed a dedicated photographer and videographer, allowing each team member to concentrate fully on their respective responsibilities.
The videographer established a suitable position from which to record the presentation clearly and consistently. Particular attention was given to framing, sound capture and continuity, ensuring that the substance of the discussion was properly preserved.
Meanwhile, the photographer moved discreetly around the room, capturing speakers, panel interaction, audience participation and wider images showing the setting and professional scale of the event.
By separating the two roles, we avoided the compromise that occurs when one person is expected to photograph an event while simultaneously maintaining a continuous video recording.
