About Marriott International – EMEA Annual Meeting, Dubai, February 2024

In February 2024, The Photo Team travelled to Dubai to cover Marriott International’s flagship EMEA regional meeting. With over 1,500 delegates attending across multiple locations and three days of programming, we managed full photography and videography logistics, from conferences to gala dinners. Our team delivered a stunning photo gallery and highlights showreel that captured the scale, prestige, and cultural setting of this international event.

The Challenge

Covering Marriott International’s EMEA annual meeting required detailed planning and seamless execution across multiple venues in Dubai. With over 1,500 attendees, three days of meetings, entertainment, and a finale gala dinner and award ceremony, the challenge was two fold:

  • International logistics — arranging travel, permissions, and equipment for coverage across multiple hotel locations.
  • Cultural considerations — respecting local customs and protocols, while ensuring discreet and professional coverage of high profile global executives.

Our Approach

  • Worked closely with Marriott’s EMEA team to plan detailed logistics across three venues.
  • Coordinated permissions and access across Dubai’s premier Marriott properties.
  • Deployed a compact but highly efficient team, one photographer and one videographer, to remain agile and unobtrusive.
  • Strategically mapped daily schedules to cover plenary sessions, breakout meetings, networking, entertainment, and the award gala.
  • Balanced creative delivery with cultural respect, ensuring all coverage reflected the prestige of the event and local sensitivities.
